This video shows how to replace a typical Revere or GE movement in it's case.
This shows the rotor/coil assembly and a diagram of how it is attached to the movement. If you are removing the rotor follow these steps
Loosen the set screw on the rotor gear.
Remove the two screws holding the coil/rotor assemble to the movement.
Slide the coil and rotor back, removing the gear on the rotor shaft so it will pass through the opening.
Remove the rotor from the coil arms.
Reassemble in reverse order.
